| What is the meaning of "difference" and "fold change"? |

These are two options that you can select when adding information to a variable list. Both difference and fold change are calculated when the two group comparison option is selected in the statistics dialog.
Average difference = difference between the means of a variable over two groups. (The program always works with data on a logarithmic scale.)
Fold change = difference to the power of 2.
It is possible to filter on Fold Change from the statistics dialog.
